  • Thirsk Hall is situated next to St Mary’s Church on Kirkgate.

  • There is no general parking at Thirsk Hall, however we do have some disabled parking available onsite so please do get in touch to check availability.

    There are lots of town parking options if you’re staying for the day. The first hour of parking is free but please make sure that you get a ticket from the machine which logs the time of your arrival. Another car park is the Millgate or Marage Car Park which can be found on Marage Road and is also a two-minute walk from Thirsk Hall.

  • Yes, absolutely - if you don’t want to pre-book your tickets then you can get them on the door.

  • We are delighted to be able to welcome well behaved dogs on leads. We ask visitors to please clean up after their four legged friends to help keep the Sculpture Garden tidy for others to enjoy it.

  • Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden pathways are a mixture of gravel, grass and paving. Please be aware that the ground can be uneven especially in the lower croft area.

    There is step free access around most of the gardens at Thirsk Hall apart from the entrance to the Orangery however this step is low. There is a ramp from the croft parkland to the garden.

    There are disabled facilities in the centre of town.

  • This year we are delighted to announce that we will be supporting the charity Daisy Chain. Daisy Chain is a charity with a close connection to Thirsk Hall as one of the charity's founders is part of the team here.

    Daisy Chain offers a variety of specialist provisions to over 5,000 autistic and neurodivergent individuals and their families.

    There is an option to add an £2 donation for any advanced bookings online; this £2 will be donated direct to Daisy Chain.

  • Concession tickets are for visitors who are over the age of 60.

  • If you are visiting the Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden there is a small shop in Gallery One which sells some refreshments.

    As we are situated in the centre of town so we encourage visitors to visit our fantastic local cafes and restaurants if you’d like something more substantial.

  • We have two toilets available for visitors to use within the grounds of Thirsk Hall. They are available for Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden visitors and for any other events hosted in the garden.

  • For visitors to Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden we cannot allow barbecues however we’d love for you to enjoy your time here so if you’d like to bring a picnic then please feel free. There are lots of seating areas around the garden where you can enjoy your lunch.

    We do not allow alcoholic drinks to be brought onto site on any occasion.

  • We welcome children of all ages. There are some uneven sections in the parkland but a sturdy pushchair is fine. Thirsk Hall Sculpture Garden has a children’s area and you can also purchase a children’s pack from the shop for additional entertainment.

    Please note, that there are currently no changing facilities at Thirsk Hall.
